Has any one used either of these products and could I have some feed back on them if poss. please. I have my girl on Cortaflex and it seems to be doing her a lot of good, but, a friend who has her dog on Joint Aid really, really recommends it and I am at a loss as to know which is the better product :rolleyes: My girl has a touch of arthritis in her shoulder and I did have her on a very low dose of Rimadyl but have now got her off that completely with using the Cortaflex. I would like to know though if the Joint Aid is any better.

Hi Anndee :)  Cant comment on joint aid but Cortaflex has been superb for my 'ol arthritic hound.  Have tried MANY things to include glucosamine, chondroitin, green lipped mussell, shark cartilage, devils claw (as well as some unpleaseant chemicals from vet :rolleyes:)
Cortaflex has shown itself to be best for my situation.  At 35kgs though - a bottle for my pooch doesn't last long!  Luckily I was told by a vet that the tubs of cortaflex powder for horses is the same stuff (minus water) and it works out soooo much cheaper - it recommends 15gms a day for a 500kg horse.  I give Ralph approx 1g (or a level teaspoon) a day ;)

Bought a 500g tub ages ago for about £50 - still got loads left, should easily last over a year!

I too can only comment on Cortaflex, which was fantastic for my last GSD with arthritis and spondylosis, Also we used the human form and found it highly beneficial too.

Many thanks for both replies. I must say I too have had Tara on several different remedies like Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Devil's Claw, Green Lipped Mussel, Arnica etc. And Cortaflex is the only one that seems to be doing the trick :) Now when going on long walks, there isn't any favouring of her leg. I am well impressed with it. I was just interested asbout the Joint Aid as friend gave me a bit to try but I think I'll stick to Cortaflex. I got some rinadyl from the vet. who agreed it is athritis, but she hasn't needed the Rimadyl since being on Cortaflex.
I am def. going to get some for myself :) :)
