Hi all my girl has a abcess she is onClavaseptin antibiotic when she comes into season i am hopeing to have her mated will the antibiotic make her infertile thank you. She is lively eating well. Going to take her back to vets on thursday for check up.

When is she due in season. Also, if she is on antibiotic I would recommend giving her half a pot of live yoghurt a day as anti-biotics tend to deal with all bacteria, even the good ones she needs in her gut.

It's probably best (as people are advised) to wait until the antibiotics are finished before starting the live yoghurt or other probiotics, or the ABs will just kill them too before they do any good. ;)

Saxon she is due this month but i think it will be sept now.Thanks Jeangenie i will give her live yoghurt when she is of the antibiotics, the abcess is clearing up nicely now. do you think it is alright to mate her once the abcess has cleared up
