One of my friends dogs is quite ill at the moment and she's asked me to go and see him tomorrow.  He is from the first litter ever born and bred in this country of my breed (he was born at my house) and of course means a lot to me as I also have his litter sister.

I would also like to give my friend something, say a poem, for her to look at at some point although of course I don't want her to until the time has come.

What's the best way of gong about this?

How about getting a digital photo(or a ordinary photo scanned)of the dog & either use it as a background or put it on one side & the poem on the other. A bit like a greetings card so you can see both at once & maybe framing it ?

I agree. There are in fact double sided frames (like a book) and when my favourite cat died, my step daughter got one, put a photo on one side and a poem on the other and it is REALLY special to me.

Hi Diane,
This is not one of Faye's is it ??
When my friends dog died, I printed off a beautiful picture of her when she was at her best and picked one of two lovely poems that I have and added it to the page and made a lovely border and framed it. She absolutely adored it, even though she cried when she first read it. I also did two for myself to keep when I lost my first aussie and my GSD.

If you want the poems let me know, and I will forward them to you,
