I'm sure you do think, but was wondering. As it does seem from the postings on this board, that exhibitors are really interested in what the fudge, "fudge" sorry judge has to say about their dog, it would be better if the publishing papers allowed just a little more space. The judge could then explain exactly what they had found, which must be more help to exhibitor and breeder alike, than the nice head, moved well, type of critque which is nesessary to keep the length of report down. We don't want rambling reports but a strict limit of say 50 words per dog would give the exhibitor what they want. Perhaps it's just me who can't get their thoughts into 20 to 30 words and does that include the dogs name which can fill a third of the report alone. Ja:)kie

I would like to see us adopt the continental approach and every dog has a 'book', that the judge writes their comments in and the placing they gave the dog at the time. In the case of gundogs/working breeds, these books not only list their show awards, but also their working awards too. They are invaluable as they are a complete record of the dogs achievements :-)

Gref Leigh, wouldn't do anybody any good for me to write at the time, between the spelling mistakes and the writing that would put a doctor to shame, they would be none the wiser. All ways write straight after judging, usualy over coffee, and then the full thing when I get home and sometimes even I can't read what I've written. Ja:)kie

Jackie, some judges get their stewards to write and then they read and sign it ;-)
