It upsets me to hear of so much voilence  :(

My OH works permanent nights :(

My husband's been made redundant with £10,000 owing from unpaid wages and zippo chance of getting any of it. :(

Thats awful. I hope he is going to pursue it. My dad was made redundant after 35 years and they said they couldn't pay him - he took them to a tribunal and won...

Realising I'm an orphan - but then so many people are so much worse off than me :(
Sad because I'm 18 now and still stuck at home with social phobia and no friends nearby. Because I can't do the things I want to do without my anxiety taking over. If anything involves people then I'm stuffed, sometimes I can't even leave the house.
Although things are starting to get better for me now :) it's just the anxiety that's the problem.
Wish my dad was here to see his grandson all grown up
stop all animal cruelty

So much has happend this year overall, people have died, people been in and out of hospital, arguments driving me mad, wish dad was still here, friends walking out when i need them most, anger issues, love issues, fights, bullying, lots of little things. All this has changed me slowly over the year and here i am wishing i was back to over a year ago where i was my happy bold and confident. :( life sucks

Mum no longer around so no-one to laugh over all the old photos and school things I'm finding in the loft that only she'd understand. :(
All the fighting that's going on in the world at the moment.
Jobless and broke..

Having our old Jed pts yesterday.
The sale of my Mum's flat falling through (again) this morning.
Missing my Mum to tell her.

I'm beginning to feel like I would like a second baby now our daughter is nearly 2.5, but hubby is 100% certain he doesn't want anymore and has even mentioned a vasectomy :-(

That is sad when one does and the other doesn't :(
What are his reasons ?

He just never enjoyed the 'baby stage', it's only been since our daughter was about 18 months that he really got into the Dad thing. Don't get me wrong, he's always absolutely adored her, but just didn't get the whole 'helpless baby' thing, bless him...!
I think it would be easier this time round. We know what to expect, we now live only 6 miles from my parents so we have help on the doorstep. Mia would be at playgroup 5 mornings a week by the time the baby arrived, and hubby now runs his own business from home (web designing) so he can also grab sleep when he can and doesn't have to do a 9 to 5 even if he's only had a few hours sleep....
I think we're going to have to drop Mia off with my parents and sit down and have a real honest chat about the subject. May be we can reach some kind of agreement.

Sounds a good plan ;)
Hope you both come to an agreement which will be a happy compromise for everyone :)

Watching family members getting old (aunt was 101 last week, mother is 91, FIL got his happy release at 91 in March) and wishing that you could do something to help them escape the indignities of old age :( :( Hoping that euthanasia will be around by the time I'm old and not able to enjoy life anymore :(

I miss my Mom and Dad so Much to talk to during difficult times.
One of my daughters gave me a card saying,
GOD,
grant Me the
SERENITY to Accept the things
I Cannot Change
COURAGE to Change the tings I can, and
WIDOM to know the difference.
As I have alway told them, Your Cup is half full or half empty.
Look at all the good things you have got!!
My Dad has been really poorly over the last 4 years, he has now gone blind and recovering from his 5th stroke which happened 2 weeks ago.
Had phone call this morning from mum to say he's had another stroke and doesn't look good.
But what makes me really sad is watching my mum suffer.

That people can get away with treating others in society like second class citizens (and worse) :(
I work with a minority ethnic group who are 'unpopular' (to put it mildly) among most sections of society and this week alone (as with most weeks) I have seen some horrendous abuses of their human rights :( What's worse is that they have come to accept it as normal and don't even question it anymore :( We have a cheek to call ourselves a civilised society

Sorry...rough day at work

Thanks Lucy :) Feel beetr already for my little rant ;)
Just got to take the pup (can I still call her that at 16 months?) along to the vet to see if her throat infection is clearing up and then there is a bottle of Chablis chilling in the fridge with my name on it :D *drools*

Ranting is a good release :D
16 months a puppy

Mine are puppies for all of their lives :D :D
Enjoy the Chablis later ;) I might join you later with a glass of Chardonay for medicinal purposes of course ;) :D
I might just join you two, I have a bottle of diet coke in the fridge, I'm gonna have to change my life style, don't drink, don't smoke and now on a diet after putting on a stone from giving up smoking. I'll be classed as boring soon

Lynn

'Course you can join us...the more the merrier :) Well done on the giving up smoking!!
Thanks Ju, Gave up the ciggies nearly 5 months ago, but what with my dad, I'm really tempted.

Sorry, missed the post earlier about your Dad. So sorry to hear he's had a turn for the worse :( Don't blame you for being tempted with such stress going on but it's be a shame to undo all your hard work. Have a wee Newfie {{{HUG}}} from Lola...they always cheer me up no end :)
