i had similar problem, mentioned it to my vet who looked knowingly at me & prescribed this BRILLIANT stuff but really hard to get hold of unless you have the right contacts:cool:

....................its called Vaseline!!  I have used it twice a day for a week & he has a nice wet moist crust free nose again.

Hi,

I'm looking after a Boxer at the moment with the most dry cracked nose I've ever seen, it's so bad it really didn't look much like a nose any more.  Apparently their vet said they didn't know what caused it and there wasn't much they could do about it, he's 9 and it's always been like that.  The owners occasionally pick the cracked bits off  Any way I've had him for 4 days and have been using tea tree cream and vaseline and he now has a black nose again (was a pale brown) and half of it is looking like a normal nose again. Bless his cotton socks.  Brilliant stuff though!

Moose has suffered with this for a couple of years

We have just changed to Barf and we have seen a difference already :)

We have also been putting sun tan cream on her if we do have to go out in the sun with her which has helped as well :)

Hi  - Just thought I'd let you know, I used tea tree cream on two noses for 3 days and they're both now clear,  so thank you very much for your advice.  S
