hi,
just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which small hatch back type cars have rear seats that completely fold up leaving just drivers/passengers seats and boot space?  my old metro and an old golf both used to do this but my current fiesta's rear seats just kind of flop forward and dont lie flat so is no good for transporting doggies!  already have a proper van all kitted out to transport all doggies but need a little runaround car for work so would be ideal if i could get a cage in for shows when just taking one or two.  any suggestions?
thanks,
kelly

We have a little Peugeot 206 ... seats fold up and we can fit 2 Alaskan Malamutes, 2 retrievers, a pointer, 2 collies and a terrier in the back ...not that we are aiming for world record in dog cramming or anything :)

oooh, that sounds promising!  was worried was going to have to get a bigger estate type but that sounds like it will do the job just fine!

in my mums fiesta i fitted (with the seats folded down) 4 labs a spaniel and a shih tzu x westie, mum was on hloiday at the time and left her car for me to use, i dont think thats what she had in mind thou esp as the dogs all came back the same colour and that wasnt the way they went out for their walk :D took ages to get the smell out of the car, needless to say im no longer on the insurance :D

when i finally get my own car itll be a focus or astra estate, i know i can get the dogs in this ok :)

I've got a honda jazz and it fits loads in it when the seats are down.

Hello

I've got a Fiesta, but we've taken out the actual seat part of the back seat. That way the fold down part is really flat. Then we've put our pups crate (Aussie Shepherd size) in the back (it's a bit of a pain to fold up but can be done at a push!), and secured it with bungee straps. There's a lot of window space though so we've got a cover over the top and two window sides so that it's shaded from the sun when we're driving (can also pull it over the back for when the sun's mainly behind us).

We get loads of comments that our pup has more room than us two ;-).

I used to have a Vauxhall Agila,it and the Suzuki Wagon R have the shape, the backseat cushion slides away as the backrest is released and comes down. High roof space is also useful. Not too expensive either.

Hope this helps
