Not sure if this is an urban myth or people really are that stupid either could be true.

Was told today by a doggie friend about a vet visiting the farmer next to them and telling him all about a recent visit he'd had from a potential new client.  Seems this woman paid £400 for a 3 wk old rottie pup after meeting the 'breeder' at a service station with the story that the pup had been knicked from anothers property seems the 'breeder' was proud of this achievment more to do with getting one over a rottie than anything else.  She ends up taking this poor mite to the vets as it won't eat anything she's offered it, vet was a tad bemused when asking what she was 'trying' to feed it as the diet was wholly inappropriate - seems the rottie pup was in fact a GUINEA PIG!!!!!

Someone please restore my sanity and tell me its an urban myth that's been doing the rounds for years otherwise I'm just going to have to lock all my doors and hope for the end of the world!!!!

I didn't think guinea pigs came in rottie colours. The person must have been very naive to not know the difference, surely at 3 weeks old a rottie is good size.

I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that vet's HA HA HA
