We break up on the 27th and one goes back on the 5th and the other 6th (daughter starting secondary school).  We are off with the dog (could not leave him at home) to the Lake district camping from the 4th to 18th August but not sure what we will do for the rest of the time.  This will be the first summer hols with the dog so our days out will have to be dog friendly.  I am looking forward to it though

Two of mine break up on the Thurs 20th and the other one supposed to on the 21st (only has half day 20th and 21st though ).  We are going away on 21st so one in secondary school will miss his last half day.  They all go back on the 6th I think.

I love the summer hols - no stressful mornings = bliss

Mine break up on Friday the 21st, at least over here kids only get six weeks off in Ireland we used to get nearly 3 months. I am really looking forward to the holidays now the kids are older its going to be easier doing things with them and we are going to go camping at some point over the summer.

Whoo-hoo quieter roads on the commute to work :D
I LOVE school holidays at whatever time of year!

That said my sister is pulling her hair out with trying to
entertain 4 kids throughout hols on a very limited budget etc.
She's particularly looking forward to the summer school camps
that the kids can go to.

Best of Luck to you all!
Hope you are all still sane at the end of the hols :D:eek::D

I do miss the holidays you got when at school...
That would be lovely now :)

We break up on 25th and I am so looking forward to the long break. Last child at home has been on study leave since May for A levels and off to uni in September. I always loved having mine at home for the holidays - meant we could get up later although that is not going to happen this holiday as Harley's body clock always knows when it is breakfast time :)

Pleased you said that Fiona, let mine read it as they are taking some convincing that college is totally different from school! We are going to have a quiet one though, eldest broke his Tib and Fib on tuesday, which means he will be in plaster toe to thigh for the majority of the holidays. :( He's really upset, because he was going to Army cadets summer camp in a couple of weeks time. Did it playing footie, simply kicking a ball round as footie is not his fav passtime, at school. So I have no idea how I'm going to keep my two amused! he did suggest tieing the dogs to the wheelchair and going racing round the lanes :D AHhhh the joys of summer :)

oh dear calm storm.  My brother broke his tib and fib playing footie last year at the begiing of the school year.

I left school afew weeks ago and don't go to uni till mid sept!!!!!  So a nice long break where I've taken on working full time hours to get lots of money together!!!!!!!! :D

my daughter breaks up teh 21st and back the 4th sept and every weekend we are away either breed shows , agility or flyball, inbetween then we live near the beach so go to the beach everyday the weather is nice have our lunch there and then home then training, it is such a cheap day out at the beach and she always seem to have loads of friends there and i hardly see her all day just keep looking up from my book etc to check she is around and she really sleeps at night as well

My daughter breaks up this Friday the 21st and on the 25th we're going to zante for two weeks, when we come back she'll go to my mum's for a week in Manchester as she loves going there to Primark! a week down our caravan with other nan, so I try and keep her  busy, but she'll still be bored no doubt!
