Can a fresh lemon be armfull to our 3 months old GR's health? One fell out of the fridge and she played with it for a while than keeps rolling on it? Is she playing or what? We left it in the garden and she did the same thing the next day

We have a Golden (10 months) and he rolls on all of his toys or anything he considers to be a toy. His favourite "toy" at the moment is an old grout bucket (washed) and he sits on it, jumps on it and generally beats it into submission. If he puts his head in it and barks the echo sends him off on a mad running fit.
None of our previous dogs have rolled on their toys so perhaps it is a Golden thing.

Helpful of that website to point out that you shouldn't give your dog alcohol and cigarettes! Is a dog not allowed any pleasures in life?! :-)
OH does let Molly have his apple cores, though, so will stop him doing that now - didn't know about cyanide poisoning from pips

Your dog will have to eat a heck of a lot of apple pips to be unwell. ;) Unless your OH eats about 100 apples at once and Molly has all the cores there truly isn't a danger. :)

I don't think lemons are harmful, she probably won't eat it anyway, far to sour. Only concern I'd have is if she swallowed it whole - they are a tricky size! She is definitley playing!

~No a fresh lemon will not be harmful to your dog, unless of course it swallows it whole and it gets stuck, an unlikely scenario.
Dogs like rolling in strong smelling stuff, lucky you; my dogs prefer to roll in something that is not quite so sweet! :)

I wish my dog would roll on something as fragrant as a lemon! Fox poo is noxious roll of choice but if the local foxes are temporarily constipated he'll find some sort of decomposing carcase instead.
Of citrus fruit, nips has never fancied lemon but he insists on sharing the other half's after-supper orange every evening and this is a first since none of my previous dogs would eat oranges.

Mine like to share the OH's orange every evening too. It's so funny when he gets a tart one. Being a Golden he already has a propensity for carrying half his water bowl around in his mouth but the drool caused by a sour orange - I could shampoo the carpet!

An encounter with half a lime inadvertantly cured Shay of his counter surfing tendancies

I was making guacamole and had left it on the side and he pinched it while my back was turned. The look of disgust on his face (and the howling that ensued) was priceless when he bit into it :D :D He hasn't nicked anything of the kitchen worktops sice ;)
.......shopping list for tomorrow...buy a lime! :D

Well the lemon was thrown away after 3 days (as it started to go off) so Amber has now decided that ice cube is really her thing!
She absolutely loves them!!
