According to Persil, kids today are often afraid to do things "because they might get dirty". Hmm - dont remember any of my kids thinking like that - but that's possibly because they are now grown up. Anyway, Persil compiled a list of 33 things children should do before they reach the age of 10 - here it is:-
Roll on your side down a grassy bank
Make a mud pie
Make your own modelling dough mixture
Collect frogspawn
Make perfume from flower petals
Grow cress on a windowsill
Make a papier mâché mask
Build a sandcastle
Climb a tree
Make a den in the garden
Make a painting using your hands and feet
Organise your own teddy bears' picnic
Have your face painted
Play with a friend in the sand
Make some bread
Make snow angels
Create a clay sculpture
Take part in a scavenger hunt
Camp out in the garden
Bake a cake
Feed a farm animal
Pick some strawberries
Play pooh sticks
Recognise five different bird species
Find some worms
Ride a bike through a muddy puddle
Make and fly a kite
Plant a tree
Build a nest out of grass and twigs
Find ten different leaves in the park
Grow vegetables
Make breakfast in bed for your parents
Make a mini assault course in your garden
I think I'm going to use this as a checklist for my grandchildren.......

Ah thats a grea idea and I have to be honest, I did most of those things and intend to get my bubba (due oct) to go for it and not have a care :D

My eldest has done all of these things except the frog spawn one! My youngest isn't far behind either!
That's a great checklist for grandchildren :)
My grandson will be 4 next month and has already covered lots of these - it's almost as much fun for me! ;)
There's some there that I would have fun doing now :d

Oh teri lol
Pooh sticks is where you have a stick each and you are on a bridge over a river, throw the stick in, the first stick to come through the other side of the bridge is the winner! Hope you can go enjoy that cheesecake now ;-) :-D

Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin played this over the bridge in 100 acre wood.
(hence 'Pooh' sticks!....not a 'jobby' in sight Teri ;) :D :D) ROFL!!!
