I would like to know if someone can tell me how long it takes for dachshund
to have babies.

Same as all hounds aprox. 63/64 days.

My miniature dachshund was pregnant for 61 days with the first litter and only 59 days with the second litter. First litter is recommended to be after the age of 2yrs but before 5 yrs, and you can only register 1 litter a year which seems sensible to allow the Bitch to regain her health. Also litters from Bitches over 8years old are not allowed to be registered with the British Kennel Club.

Are you asking how long they are pregnant for, or how long they should be in labour.

If you had a bitch in labour when you asked and she still has not finished then get a vet - FAST.
