Can anyone help point me in the right direction to websites with Photographs please. I have searched as much as I can, found masses of info, but very few with 'good' photographs

In dogs? It can look entirely different on different animals and people.

Argh Phooey :(  thanks for those Marianne, unfortunately I did find what I was looking for amongst them .....  Was hoping against hopes .... Little Wallace has a small leasion on the inside of his front leg (just the one) my suspicions are now confirmed.... off to vets for the blacklight just to make sure

Aw very annoying! :( If the light doesn't show anything up, best do a culture just IN CASE -a few years ago there was a strain here in town that did NOT flouresce under the wood's lamp but it showed positive with a culture -my vet said he'd had several cases of it. Likewise though, I had a cat once where everyone was CONVINCED it was ringworm but a culuture was negative, so fingers crossed!

Nasty little fungus that is :(  I have heard as well that some do not show up under black light. We purchased a black light just for it. My daughter had it awhile back she got it from school and my friend got it from a kitten she purchased from a breeder, took her awhile to clear it up.... Best of luck :)

Well, its not ringworm :)  but no-one knows what it is lol.... never seen anything like this before... we are now on, steriods, broadspectrum AB's, Fuciderm and malaseb shampoo... although coat and skin are completely clear (it wont do any harm)

the wound, which is less that half inch diameter, no matter how much I clean it, becomes very 'sticky' within a short period of time.  It is not healing and has a strange, but not dreadful smell... no pus coming out, although when washed, it bleeds, (which I have been squeezing a little to try and clear anything out)

Vets and I are stumped!

The wound is on the pulse spot just inside left leg above ankle

Any ideas????

not sure if its any help but I had a dog with a lesion which looked like RR but skin scrappings and light proved negative, the vet conducted lots of tests all negative, i treated it with a weekly bath containing dilute tea tree oil and Betadine and it cleared up straight away

Many thanks, yes anything will help at the moment lol.... sticking to the AB's and malaseb until AB's course finished, also puttin CS on now instead of fuciderm.... if that fails, will try tt and betadine.... It's annoying me much more than it annoys him lol....
