I had my first lot of chemo this last week, good grief I was sick, feeling much better now though. Doctor gave me bad news and said that the cancer has spread and that the time span for survival is usually about six months. Well I am going to do my damndest to prove him wrong. I will fight this nasty disease with every inch of me and I WILL NOT GIVE UP.

I'm behind you all the way, jazzywoo. Doctors aren't always right, and this will be one of those times. Fight, fight, fight, girl. We're all with you. {{{{{{hug}}}}}}

Sending you love, positive thoughts - and the suggestion (which you've probably already had) - that ginger is a good cure for nausea - and if you have a couple of cans of ginger beer in the fridge, if you do become nauseous, you can sip this.

Massive {{{hugs}}} to you Michelle x
And as JG said, We're all with you :-)

JG is absolutely right, docs don't always get it right. You have great attitude. Supporting you all the way.

Agree with everyone else time spans are impossible to predict. they gave my friends dobe bitch a few weeks and she went on for 18 months and was pretty elderly anyway at 13.
The Power of positive thinking on the body is amazing fight girl fight.

Sending big hugs and positive vibes your way.
All the best,
Sarah.
Bless you jazzywoo, keep fighting, keep eating, my thoughts are with you, never give up the fight.
Sending all my best wishes and <hugs> to you. Keep positive, no one can predict the future, not even doctors!

Hi Michelle!!! Really good to hear from you, and the amazing attitude you have is still blazing away!! 'Atta Girl'! :D
"Oh Captain, my Captain!"... you have a strong army here at CD behind you for this fight.

{Heartfelt Hugs}....... and a whole lotta 'Kick A**' spirit!! ;) :D
Good for you!! Look at the woman that has had cancer for quite a few years now and also wasn't given a good prognosis. She's still doing marathon's, bicycle rides etc. and is an inspiration to us all.
Truly hope tht you prove the medical team wrong!

A positive attitude is the way to go. My OH has beaten his original life expectancy prognosis 5 times over and really made the most of life since then. I am sure the positive attitude has had a huge bearing on this and we are sending positive thoughts your way.

Wishing you all the very best Michelle. Keep up the fighting and positivity, your friends at CD are all here for you.
Simone x :)

Lots and lots and hugs and vibes and good wishes and everything and you WILL prove them wrong!
Keep up the positive fighting spirit - after all the prognosis is only one persons best guess and so often a positive mental attitude can prove the consultant wrong :). and remember we're with you all the way. x
My parents were told after my brother died that he should have lived until he was 7 and he died at the age of 15. Whether it would have been different if they'd of known the prognosis years before I don't know but it's amazing how things can happen.
Behind you all the way on this one. Keep fighting it. Positive vibes on the way........

Positive healing vibes coming your way. Stay strong and hold onto that positive mental attitude!

A lady I know wel into her 70's had bowel cancer 25 years ago, and beat it, even though shewasn't expected to live.
Five years ago she got breast Cancer and hasn't beaten it but is fighting it well.

I'm right here with you too....keep positive, be stubborn and take each day as it comes. The ginger beer idea is good, but a freind of mine going through it is experiencing strange tastes and you may find you want different flavours. ;-)
Karen

Yes, indeed - I'm here with you as well - fight, girl - fight the damn thing!!!

You go girl! Kick those cancer cells in the proverbial a--! Positive attitude will get you everywhere. My grandfather started life as a very premature baby with less than a couple months to live. He was a sickly child who spent months in the hospital who was never going to live more than a few months more. In his 60's he had emphysema, had to have a lung removed and was not going to live much longer. And he happily enjoyed life to the fullest every day of his 98 years. You can do it!!

my friend is going through chemo just now for breast cancer and is getting reiki from a friend and she has had hardly any side effects froom chemo. her blood levels were out one week when she was to get chemo 2 days later and she had reiki the night before the bloods were to be redone and they were fine. If you can find someone to give you mega doses of positive healing. Sending you loads of positive vibes and wishing you well. xx
Just what I was going to suggest. I know people who have had much relief from the side effects by having reiki & anything is worth a try. Keep fighting!! We are all thinking of you at this tough time.
