Thats a good point Rhona.. I wonder why the vet didnt do that after making such a sweeping statement and worrying the owner. :(

Definitely do not have him castrated, at least unless you really have to and leave it until he has finished growing completely! There are more health risks with a castrated dog than a dog which has not been castrated.
And his eyes, I'd get a second opinion !

I had a Pomeranian with this and you could well and truly notice it. She luckily grew out of it at 11 months and never had any problems again.
I do believe that GD's do suffer with this problem, but I'd be surprised if it was this as it usually is noticeable.
If it was my dog I'd get a second opinion even if it is only from another vet in the practice. Can't you see the senior vet?
Must admit, just for peace of mind I'd have to get someone else to have a look see :D
