Taking my mum to Paris for a few days in Oct & after a decent bed & breakfast/hotel centrally located at a reasonable price...any suggestions?  I've found a few on the web but always like recommendations...

I always stayed at the Renaissance Paris (in La Defense, a little away from the centre) as I worked for Microsoft and often based myself at the Paris office which can be seen in the picture, behind the hotel on this site:  http://www.expedia.co.uk/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&itty=new&from=m&shtl=1&htid=14862&eapid=726-3

The underground station is a short walk from the hotel so it's quick and easy to get into the centre of Paris.

If you have not been to Paris before IMO La Defense is too far out, your best bet would be to stay in the centre somewhere, maybe near the Opera or on the Left Bank or Monmartre.  There is a nice Novotel near Les Halles.  We use Octopus.com they give warts and all descriptions and cover every budget.  Hope this helps
