Well Mike has spent this afternoon building two big Tall larder units  ready for the new freezers ready for the produce to freeze from the allotment AND the new Barf freezer  :D :D

Well we now are near to going barf so what I could do with (I know this has been posted before but time is a bit limited at the mo so would appreciate some links :) )

What I need is a typical recipe list of a weeks food. :)

They are already on half barf but need to step up now we are nearly their to be able to do it

Thanks

Lucy

Lucy I think the bible for me is the ultimate diet book.. cheap to buy.

Mornings: RMBs eg chicken wings, carcases, thighs, legs etc etc, turkey legs,
Mon pm: raw liver
Tue pm: raw meat/mince
Wed pm: heart
Thurs pm: Kidneys
Fri pm: Raw or tinned fish
Sat pm: raw meat
Sun pm: live yoghurt, eggs, with added fruit or veg pulped.

You can add a raw egg every day to meat meals; I personally do not feed heart, fish, liver or kidneys with eggs.
You can add a little veg each day to mince.
I feed a banana a day for FOS.

HTH Nothing is written in stone.

Yes that does ;)

I am just trying to piece together a shopping list for the first stock up of the freezer really.

I have also ordered the book  Pam has suggested so hopefully I will get the hang of it :)

If I whizz up veggies it won't matter if I freeze it ? I want to have a supply of ready whizzed stuff as our allotment is just starting to produce in volumes now so want to take advantage of the plentiful supply whilst I can :)

Many people pulp and freeze.

Best book to buy is Feeding Cats and Dogs The ultimate diet by Kmythy Schulze, very easy to read, has recipes and shows the novice what the dog needs and where to find it.

Hi tohme,

would you add a variety of vitamins and/or supplements to the above or just something like Keeper's Mix?

Thanks, Teri

(ps. sorry to nick into your thread Lucy :D )
