Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Addition to kennel name
- By helenRR [gb] Date 28.06.06 13:23 UTC
When OH registered his kennel name for reasons known only to himself he only put his own name down and not mine    :D

As it is me that is up 5 times a night with the pups, and me that had to sleep on the sofa waiting for her to whelp, and me that was bottle-feeding the poorly ones, and me that will be showing them ;-) , i enquired politely of him why my name was not going to be listed as breeder as it was clearly i that was doing all the work   :D

So he has said he will get my name put on as well ,but how difficult is that?

My name needs to be on there to classify for for owner/exibitor classes as well doesn't it ?

thoughts....?

Have to agree not difficult but a ripoff, yet again from the KC!!

Just about to re-new an old affix of mine and that's going to cost £70.  It makes my blood boil!!

Well, not thinking before writing is going to cost him £45, perhaps he won't be so hasty to not include me next time ;-)

Mind you i hate the name anyway so i wish he'd let me choose it. He wouldn't even consider my suggestions, although now thinks mine would have been better  I was too honest when e-mailling the suggestions to KC, i should have included mine as well :D i wanted one that represented us and our new venture but he he chose a place where he used to live before he moved down and met me (moved down geographically NOT socially :eek:I hasten to add, i'm not that kinda gal :D)

HG can you tell him how lucky he is please .....:D

Flippin 'eck that's pricey!!

When I read this topic I thought it would be about as much as adding my OH's name to one of our dogs' registration when we registered our affix.  It was nowhere near that price tho    flippin rip off!!

It won't apply here, but in the far distant past you could compound your affix for life by paying a largish sum , which meant no annual fee.

My Friend when she married added her husband to her affix, and the Kennel club didn't tell her that she would now have to pay the maintenance fee every year.

You need to have it changed to both your names, if the dogs, that are going to have your affix are in both your names. If you don't the kC would reg. the dogs in your affix. But! if the dogs are only in your hubbys name, I would leave the affix in his, its a little pricy to change them all.

I mean WILL NOT req. your dogs in your affix.
