I'm thinking about having my dog neutered but don't know an awful lot about it and how it can affect the dog....

Anyone with any advice or tips would be most appreciated....

Thanks

The pro's and cons have been discussed at length on the forum.  I suggest you click search and put neutering and you will have loads come up.

There are definite changes (not all positive) that are often not mentioned by your vet.

If there are no problems with keeping your dog from running amok siring litters, he is well behaved then if it ain't broke there is no need to fix it.

It is worth bearing in mind that during puberty as in humans the testosterone levels will be much higher than normal to achieve the developmental changes that turn a puppy/boy into a man/dog and these along with some of the related behaviour will naturally settle down along with maturity, somewhat faster fortunately in Male canines than in adolescent humans.

Bet you can tell I have a 15 year old son
