I just wondered if any of you here ever meet up at shows, agility etc? And if so, whos met who :D

I don't have a dog that I show, but if anyone ever travels out to the Norfolk/Suffolk/Cambridgeshire or north Essex areas to a show then I would love to come along and see how it's done.  I'm not planning on showing, but just find it really interesting to watch.

It would be great to meet in person, grab a coffee (or beer) and chat for real :-)

How far is Peterborough from you?  The East of England show is on fairly soon, over 3 days I think.  I rarely go as it is so far from me in Devon but it's a great show.  Just looking up details on my RR calendar (have you / do you want to join any of the clubs, will give you details if you like - lots of RR things to buy) ...... Tuesday 18th July at the showground.  There should be lots and lots of RRs.

I'm about 60 miles from Peterborough, and go to the showground every year to attend the BMF bike show.  I'll look up the showgrounds website and get all the details, thanks very much.

Haven't joined any RR clubs as I assumed they were all for breeders or people who will be showing their dog.  Is it worth joining if you 'just' a pet owner?

Have lost of pet only members (probably the majority to e honest) in our breed club.

Breed clubs with more numbers like yours may well organise fun days in various parts of the country aimed at all owners not just show people.

Yes, there are fun days and rallies for rescue - one was last weekend.  The RR Club of GB is the main club, but there's also the Midlands and Northern, the Southern RR Assoc and the Scottish Club.  PM me if you want details.

OOOOH :P   Have met up with "Missie" aka Dee, "Leomad" aka Helen, "Shads" aka Lynne and "Belgian Bonkers" aka Sarah  - great girls!  Also know "Trevor", including OH Yvonne who mainly posts under that ID, but have known them both for a loooong time before joining CD :D  

Should have even could have met several Scottish CD'ers somewhere along the line but can't be sure!  Hope I haven't forgotten anyone (so sorry if I have .......

Have met JG and ChloeH at Crufts a couple of years ago, also met 'John', oh and Briedog (Teri) too :D Met Lea, also at Crufts, boy did she make me jump tho lol. Also try n meet up with RobertK for a swift when am in Cornwall.
Was meant to meet HG this year at Crufts, but due probs my end it didn't work out :(

I have met ice_queen (roxanne) f.a.brook ( fiona) and me_and_pero (beth) Im really good frined with beth, and we meet up all the time to do different things. Also as we are both home schooled we can go shopping and snowboarding and stuff when other people are at school! :D

Oooh I have met Teri, Huskygal (liv), megan57,(Karen) enfielrotts,(Kelly) leomad ;) (Helen who I knew before CD) all very nice people. Made really good friends with them :) I see Karen and Kelly at most shows as we all go on the same day :) Teri I don't see enough of ;) but we meet up when we can :) And Liv I met at 3 counties :)

I met Kernaghan, satincollie and sandrah at a BC show so we all keep in touch with how our dogs are doing and life in general.

Looking forward to meeting alot of people I chat to on here but we never quite meet up at a show for one reason or another. Will try harder ;)

Roz, you weren't that lady they did a TV programme about, with a lovely little boy are you?? Fantastic programme anyways!!! Just shows what can be done and how little people appreciate how disability needn't be the end of the road!!!

I havnt met at shows but i met Mini-meg in Manchester for my hen night :D we got to know each other first by adding each other to our msn's.

We will be going to Bournemouth show and would love to come and find some of you.
Its not until August but what fun that would be. What do we do, like how do you make yourselves known?

I've met a few people on here.  Briedog and Alboderas both have dogs that I bred :d  For their sins.  Jennyb (this is not her sign.) I of course know through my breed.  I've met John (not on here anymore sadly) Christine from Spain (will have to organise a trip to Spain at some point and come and see you over there :d) Christine dragged poor John over to the SWD stand at Crufts just over a year ago.  Also met a couple of others at dog shows.

Was shown by someone a couple of people at Cheshire Show but I didn't manage to get over and say hi, will have to next time.

Darn it, I'm on holiday then!
