There is usually a 'complaints' dept for ads, maybe a chat there about responsible advertising, dog ownership, and their responsibilities regarding their adverising standards? Also, a call to the tax man, who may well be interested....RSPCA may be interested also? Don't most advertising places for animals give a little block notice about reporting things like this?
Very true brainless, some are genuine and it must be heartbreaking. What gets me is the amount of dogs needing good homes for these sort of reasons, together with allergies (yes, some genuine) it just seems to be the easy way of doing it when the owner has got fed up. I would far rather someone said 'for genuine reasons' and gave the real reason, rather than so many giving the old 'moving home, going over seas, allergy, etc. However, the way I look at it is, they are at least trying to find a new home, rather than just dumping the dog. Providing the new home is ok .... My view is that it would be better to rehome with the help of the breeder or breed rescue, or if not pedigree one of the dogs homes that are reputable.
