hi we are expectong a litter of gundogs (docked) and we are hoping to find them working families, and i have heard they need docking, only problem is our vet will not do this, is there any vets in south cheshire area that will do it for us?

BASC National Gundog Helpline - 01823 480 923 are holding lists and asking members to send in names of Vets assisting.
Or ask your Guns and Picker uppers on your own shoot.
HTH :)

Hi - You need to join the CDB - the Council of Docked Breeds.

You can join online here:  http://www.cdb.org/

It's not very expensive and they will send you a list of vets in your area who will dock.

You probably won't find a vet who will dock by any other means, to protect the vets concerned.

I don't really understand your post, are you having the litter as you seem unsure as to how docking is done?  Or is your breed one that can have naturally born bobtails?

Anyway, that's not helping you.  You will have to go to the CDB and they once you've paid your membership which is fairly cheap will give you details of suitable vets in or around your area.
