Hi
My staff was booked in to the vets yesterday to be speyed. Unfortunately she went into season just as the vet put her on the operating table. She is 2 months early. Also the vet told me that her vulva was swollen and there is a lump inside which is due to her hormones...she's had lots of hormonal problems.
The vet said this was quite rare but he had seen it before. Has anybody heard of it or had experience of it? If the swelling hasn't gone down by tomorrow she'll have to have an op to remove the lump because the vet is concerned about her passing water. She has wee'd last night and again this morning and doesn't seem to be in any discomfort at the minute.
The vet also gave her an injection to stop the season too.
I didn't sleep a wink last night...worried sick about her...any advice or information would be appreciated.
Thanks
Why did he give her an injection to stop the season?
Sorry I've not replied, I've not had a connection for a few days. He gave her the injection because apparently the swelling was caused by the season. It has gone down now and she seems to be much better, thankfully.
Thanks
Was that the lump or the vulva? Pleased shes well again. Did he say when she can be spayed?
