the dog that was in the open class at this show and got 1st shouldnt been allow to compet untill june1st. so bye default tangle move up to 1st and BIR.beacuse she got 2nd in this class and BPIR.but in the hands of the kc bye some elis.

this what i been told.but beacuse i was exbithing there i need to speak to the sec of the show as well.

Oh dear I remember this happening at a Champ SHow a few years back with Dogue de Bordeaux's, I never heard the outcome of that though and one did win!!

Notice that the judge did a write-up on every class in the DogWorld paper except for the import register classes!  Rather unfair!

its in the hands of the kennel club and it is beening dealt with some time in july.

Oh good I hope it gets sorted out, although I see that the website of the Eurasier owner that won is still bragging about the wins, even though they shouldnt have even been entered. 

Huh tell me about it Diane, Ive only seen one critique for Archie, which was Bath by Andrew Brace who always does them in record time, another judge has told me he submitted them for both the Open show and Champ show he judged us at yet neither have appeared in either paper, nor for any of the other Champ shows Ive been to this year.
It really annoys me, we pay the same money as all other non CC breeds and always get 2nd or even 3rd class service.

Yeah I notice that a couple of the champ shows have done the critiques for the other groups of import register but not the gundog ones!! 

Even though I've not shown this year I do enjoy keeping up to date and seeing what judges etc. think of our breed.  It's so annoying that we pay the same as everyone else and we don't get critiques nor can we go further up the ladder by being able to enter BIS and BPIS

I wonder how it's going with us being taken off the import register.  Can't believe that nothings been heard in the almost 7 months of it being sent off!

I suspect SWD that you and the Dogues are in the same boat - internal fighting is holding you both back - v sadly

That happens in all breeds though and I suspect that the people involved in the trouble causing aren't members of the Club and maybe people who are having litters from bitches at 12 months of age and not hipscoring and eye testing their dogs???

Why should the breed suffer for the likes of these people?

There are some very nice dogs out there and we are getting quite a few out at the shows now. 

People are people and there's nothing that you can do to stop some from being extremely petty, unfortunately that's the way of the world and why I prefer dogs to people :d :d

The difference with our breed and DDB's I would say is that we breed at least half of their numbers a year if not less.  I was absolutely shocked with the number of breeders appearing on this site.  I wonder how many are health tested?

I know that there will be many good breeders but I would be devastated if the SWD had anything near as many litters as this poor breed seems to be having at the moment.

Unfortunately here in Manchester quite a few "breeders" of DDB's appeared at one time and I feel didn't do the breed any favours.

We are so fortunate that the popularity of our breed has gone slowly but myself and the original importers of the breed did this purposely and I am so pleased that almost 14 years on the numbers in the breed have increased very gradually and I hope it continues in that way!

think you missed my point SWD. both yr breed and DDB have infighting going on publicly, affecting the club, which cannot be doing either breed any favours with the KC. Yes there is some degree of fighting in all breeds, but not that much open mighting involving clubs, and they are not on the IR. SWD certainly should be off - from those I have udged they are of a pretty decent standard, people I have come accross all seem fine, and the breed is just wonderful

Most of us are very nice, have a great Club that does lot of events etc. and as you say there are some nice dogs being shown around the country now.

Thre is no internal fighting within the club, its the people that are no longer or never were members that are trying to cause trouble.:rolleyes:

Very sad as I expect some of then show and its themselves that they are hurting as if we dont come of the IR, we cant enter any other classes or go into the groups.:rolleyes:

That's what I also tried to state that it is not infighting but people stirring up trouble outside of the Club!  I of course could be wrong.  But as you say Jenny if they are who I think they are they show and are doing themselves no favours as they are the people who have shouted more than most to come off the import register!

Oh Jenny I like to keep  low profile.

But I am a member of the SWD club, and have judged them in IR @ champ shows, and very taken with the breed.
