Hi everyone :-)
Can anyone give me any info on the Blackpool Show please?  I'm taking that it's held outside, but are there wet weather rinds etc?  It'll be our first time at Blackpool and i'm going with the forewarned is forearmed (or whatever the saying is :D) seen as JJ threw a strop in the Birmingham National.

Yes there is wet weather rings at Blackpool. Take your wellies with you cause it can get boggy!

Yes it is outside & yes being an All Breed Championship Show there are wet weather rings in marquees LOL which were needed last year

We are not going to Blackpool missed the closing date for entries :(

I did that for Sth Counties, couldn't decide whether to go or not and then it was decided for me because the entries closed!
Mind you if the weather is anything like it has been it's not just wellies we'll need it'll be flippers & snorkels :D

I forgot to enter too, just haven't been bothered these last 2 years, too much politics going on :d

May go to the companionship show though and have some fun in that instead :d :d

I picked up my ancient camper last night and if it gets me there it will be a miracle, lots of work to do before then.

Hubby's handling him as he has this theory that because i take JJ in fields for walks thats why he threw a strop, he thought he would be having a run round etc.  Hubby thinks that if he's handling him he'll behave (if JJ does i'll swing for him :-) )
Because we've not been showing for long most of the Champ ones this year are firsts, so we're not sure what to expect when we get there.

I'm there on hound day.I love Blackpool...it was my first ever champ show and we haven't missed a year since.Got to say however it has probably been my unluckiest show...don't think we've ever had a good day result wise!

Blackpool will be our Pugs first show.  We've never been before as its about 300 miles from us We must be mad!!

We are entered at Blackpool, but depending on whether Henry gets placed at Bath & Southern Counties may not bother to go - if a judge who liked him very much as a puppy no longer likes him, it's probably time to retire him, specially as he was unplaced at his last two shows!

I'll be there Hound day too! :)

I'm looking forward to going now with so many from going :-)

I am fairly new to this site not really sure if I am replying in the correct way anway. Just been reading all your messages about Blackpool well I live 2 mins away from the show ground and will be there on the day. I'll keep you all posted with weather updates at the moment it is sunny and everything is drying up so fingers crossed because yes it can be miserable here when its wet expecially the ground for the show.

No probs, being relatives show newbies this might be a stupid question but if cc's are being given out does that mean there will probably be more entries?
There's no cc's in Blackpool for us but there was in 3 Counties (we didn't go) are higher in Blackpool.

I always get excited when the passes arrive and go through the entries with a fine tooth comb :D

Shows with cc's usually get higher entries. We had no cc's at 3 counties and the entry was only 5.

i may be being really thick but why do they say 40 dogs but 56 entries? why not just 40 dogs. I may be being stupid but can someone please explain.

Good luck to all of you.  I'll be thinking of you whilst I'm camping during a Spanish Water Dog fun weekend.  I just hope it keeps dry and my mum and 3 dogs will be camping with me :d  We must be mad.

Jenny it's all your fault as I was going to go the the companionship show at Blackpool but have (or is it of :d)  decided to go to Di's instead :d

Got my passes yesterday I,m all excited now not been to a champshow for ages Sengi decided to drop her coat last week and looks like a half stuffed mattress but never mind we,ll still have a good day.

hee hee, What are you sleeping in tent or camper, Im not sure if my camper is going to be ready so i might be tenting it instead, will have to phone Di tomorrow to see if she has still got tent space or it may have to be local b&b, really annoyed that Im indoors hasnt done the jobs needed on the camper yet when he know I need it for Di's weekend. 

Camping it well with the awning.  My van's knackered at the moment just don't have the money to get it repaired.  Maybe if I had more litters :d :d  No, no I'm only joking!
