Just been invited to Wimbledon, for Monday 26th - friend has got tickets for No 1 Court & has invited me along :)

I've got my sun glasses, hat, umbrella, plastic poncho, Cliff Richard song book.......

Not forgetting the Pimms of course :D

Its the first Monday, so I doubt that we'll see any of the Big Names - although of course, we can just mooch around and see who's also mooching around :)

As for HG - yes ..... have to admit - I DO know all Sir Cliff's songs .......from long, long ago, when he did look like a young Elvis ........sigh........... :)

Sure you will see some of the big names as its the first day so loads of matches to fit on the courts. I love Wimbledon! Been a few times and if you have tickets you just swan past all those poor people in the queue

Luverley :D :D :D I'm very envious :) I haven't been since 1973 when I went two days running - had just finished my A levels and some kind person gave our school free tickets for the centre court :) I used to be tennis mad in those days, but find that there are a few too many, rather spoilt, 'superstars' for my liking these days :(

ohhh I love Wimbledon

I live just 10minutes away and the atmosphere completely changes. The tube station makes a court up on its platform and everywhere is just so cool.

Now I'm getting excited......just run off the Schedule of Play for tomorrow - start with Ladies Singles, with Vera Zvonareva v Kim Clijsters, then 1st round Men's (sorry - Gentlemens' Singles) - with Robin Soderling v Tim Henman, then Krisian Pless v James Blake - so we should see some excellent tennis :D

Oh dear though - weather - rain :rolleyes: !   Suppose I'd better add the binlincher poncho & CR Songbook after all.........
