OK, you'll all be sick of me going on about my dogs, specially at only companion shows, but...
We went to our local club's show and entered 9 classes, and came away with 8 rosettes - I'm still in shock. My girl got 3rd in breed, 4th in prettiest bitch, 6th in obedience, and a judge's special (more for effort than anything else I think!) in the other obedience. But my Yankee who I'm always rude about (nicely!) really excelled! He has only once been placed in anything (and that was a waggy tail contest!) and he came 3rd in breed (BREED!!!!!!! My coatless Am Cocker!!! And the judge judges them at open level so he knows what he's doing! He loves his movement apparently!), and he was FIRST in Friendliest Dog, FIRST in Handsomest Dog, and 5th in Irish brace (he's buff and I borrowed a black Lab). I was in shock, and called him 'Superdog' all evening, and he looked very surprised! Clever little George! :-)
ps the class we weren't placed in was George in obedience, where we gave the comedy performance of the day!! :-D
You go girl, and brag as much as you want. It doesn't matter what level you show at and where you get placed its the taking part, but it is nice to get a rosette, we now have 3, 2 for open and 1 for champ shows and it feels like I'm the only one who's ever won one.
Well done you.
Lynn

Well done to you and your dogs, Lucy

:-p
Go on, don't hesitate to "brag". I prefer to call it sharing your pleasure :-) It's so nice when someone is happy about their dog's placings. Too many people are reluctant to show their happiness. Last week at a show, I heard someone ask a passing friend how they had done in the ring that day. The answer was"oh, OK I suppose....We got BOB."
Keep sharing your hapiness with the rest of us, shared pleasure is double pleasure

Thanks all - I really was thrilled with them both, specially George. I'm always shocking my friend by saying I'd rather get a First or BOB at an open than a 4th or 5th at a Champ show - sorry if that's not how I'm supposed to think, but that's what I feel! :-D
