Hello everyone,
My girl was mated on the 15/5 she is now on day 22 everything is going well swollen vulva , morning sickness , very clingy bit sleep on and off throughout the day (also a bit grumpy with other bitch and not playing with her) .
This morning and the last two mornings she has peed in the night ( massive pee ) eventhough I let them out last thing... she hasnt done this since she was a pup. Also when we are out walking she is marking continually everywhere .

Do you think she may have a water infection or is this quite normal with some bitches??

I am going to give vet a ring to be sure.

thanks

Roni

one of my girls did this on both her pregnancies...i think as pups got larger there was less room for her bladder to expand so kept peeing!!!

One of my girls did this with her pregnancy, vet told me it was just the pressure of her expanding uterus against her bladder, once she had the pups everything went back to normal, no more accidents

It's all sounding very promising!

I think you need to see your vet asap.  I'm told that passing bladder stones are the most painful experience ever in humans, worse than child birth they say   A specialist diet is usually required to break down the stones but prevention is variously advocated by special diet or constant monitoring for infection.

Thanks Isabel for the info!

will write question again as other post has been removed.

We have just had our girls scanned and she is hopefully expecting  pups.  He also informed me that he could see crystals in her bladder and advised me to go to the vet .I have an appointment booked for tomorrow .

Has anyone experienced this before in a pregnant bitch ???

I thought she would be LOL our Rosie & Breeze even let the others have a close look at their babies ;)(The puppies scared the pants of our Hiedi she never did like them ;) ) & Rosie even liked our male, Boo(not the father)to help her keep hers in order-well Beardie males aren't the brightest of dogs :D Mind you when they were up & running all the adults kept out of the way except Boo poor lad I reckon he was a bob short of a note LOLOL

up-date on Ellie ...
She had another scan today plus vet did a urine test direct from the bladder good news no crystals but a thicker lining of the bladder so she is now on synulox and has to go back for another scan in 3 wks .No change of diet and pups are fine.
