My husband and I (Who does that soundlike?!!) attended a Champ show recently to see the EBT classes. We are the proud owners of a 4 1/2 mth old White bitch puppy. We were really surprised to see the White EBT COVERED in Chalk and Facepaint! These dogs looked horrible, it made their coats look curly and wet. We are adamant we will not use any products other than a good shampoo on our bitch when she is old enough to show.
Are we being naive....is this what you have to do to win in the ring. I have read several Champ show schedules and it clearly states that no product should remain in any dogs coat for showing.
The judge could not have missed the Face paint and chalk as she was COVERED in white when she had finished going over them! Every time one of these dogs shook, you couldn't see them, they were enveloped in a cloud of dust! The judges hands were covered in white facepaint.
Your thoughts please?
