i was reading through a magazine and this woman was taking her staffy x lab for a walk and the dog was taken off her by the police cause they thought is was a pitbull.
The woman and her husband were taken to caught where they had to prove the dog was not a pitbull i cant remeber how long it took the couple to get their dog back but it was a long time and the dog wad really thin and losing her hair and really distressed. it did say in the last part it said that this case has changed the dangerous dogs act in which it is now legal to own a pitbull if it has been registered with the local authorities ,tattood, microchipped and muzzled..

Don't know which country you are in but Pitbulls are not accepted at all in the UK.  Unless there are some in their teens.

i was listening to an item on radio 4 only last week about the law relating to dogs and they quoted DEFRA as saying they had no plans whatsoever to revise the Dangerous Dogs Act. So unless you can find me a reference point that says differently, kerrie, your advice may be dangerously misleading!
