we have 1 day left to go and she is suffering with the hot weather, anybody got any tips on keeping her cool?
she is wandering around the house looking very sad & hot.

Have some damp towels in her bed / whelping box, where ever she is most normally lying for now, to help keep her cool.  Soak them in cool water and ring them out thoroughly - replace often.

Also if you have a portable fan move that to a safe place near her chosen spot and of course ensure she has access to lots of fresh water.  My dogs are strange in that they like it straight from the tap - if it's been down more than 30 minutes they look at me with disgust

If you have a comfortable, shady spot in the garden she may prefer to have you sit out there with her rather than be indoors - with little breeze these last few days even opening all the windows makes little difference to room temp.

regards, Teri

Fill up some plastic lemonade bottles with cool water and put them in her bed with her?  My pups are leaving tomorrow they are all crashed out on the living room floor with the fan blowing.

Very hot and sticky today, poor thing, lets hope she delivers overnight, it's supposed to be hotter tomorrow

Fill plastic bottles with water and freeze them, then wrap them in a towel and place where she lies.

If she feels peckish Frozen apple or carrots do help cool them down a bit Mabe spray her with water .Icecubes are fun too :D I know someone suggested to me in the end icecubes made of chicken broth .  its Hard isent it Mine were due this time last year and I was trying to keep my girl cool too .
Mabe its a cocker thing Sharon Mine are exactly the same :D or if a tiny bit of dirt normaly from there own ears and they wont touch it yet they will try and drink out of the pond
