Ah but you'll still get the odd ones the spell check misses, like massages.

Look forward to the context of that one ;) :D

Further up I wrote:

"To be fair when I get really on the boil and typed and posted in the heat of the moment some had a lot of typos, but I never thought it mattered that much it is massages on a board not essays or articles for publication."

and Teri picked up on it:eek:

Ho Ho I missed that one :D
Anyhoo, regarding whoever pmed about your spelling, I doubt that is the real issue, how could it be :), more likely they are too inarticulate to deal with a debate in any other way.  Ie their eyesight may be sharper but their brain cells aren't.  I really would not have gone to this trouble on their behalf :)

must admit i have sometimes made slightly disparaging comments about people learning to spell correctly on the board (its a pet hate of mine!) but would never have the nerve to actuallymake a point to email them & tell them:eek:

Only when the person's posts are nasty and snide anyway, Sam; nice but badly-spelled ones are allowed to pass uncommented on! :)

I've never dared Sam, my house has too much glass in it ;).  Next thing they start telling you about punctuation and capitals :p :D

To be honest if someone can't spell so what you can usually get the gist of what they mean i'd never go so low to pull someone up about their spelling it's just compleletly petty and we're not at school.

I think with my posts it was the dyslexic typing and typo's with two keys hit inserting extra letters that was more the problem.  The person considered it lazy, and that poor eyesight was no excuse, which to be honest it isn't if I want to proof read every post .

Since this post has started I have made a consiouse (sp?????) effort to make sure I put in capitals and don't use text speak. The spelling I am sorry you will all just have to put up with.

Any one noticsed my efforts?

Can't you name and shame the insensitive one! It might let the rest of us off the hook, or maybe they did mean well, and although misguided, did it with the best of intentions.

Thing is it was an email so the email name didn't mean anything, and I have long since forgotten it (the name that is).  It wasn't nice at the time, but at least I have been checking my posts more, making it easier for others, very much against the lazy streak

;-) Guess its that old cloud with a silver lining again then, (or not)!
