WHEN WE GIRLS DRINK TOO MUCH...........

1. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE OUR PURSE IS.

2. WE BELIEVE THAT DANCING WITH OUR ARMS OVERHEAD AND WIGGLING OUR BUTT WHILE YELLING "WOO-HOO!" IS TRULY THE SEXIEST DANCE MOVE AROUND.

3. WE'VE SUDDENLY DECIDED THAT WE WANT TO KICK SOMEONE'S ASS AND HONESTLY BELIEVE WE COULD DO IT TOO.

4. IN OUR LAST TRIP TO PEE, WE REALIZE THAT WE NOW LOOK MORE LIKE A HOMELESS HOOKER THAN THE GODDESS WE WERE JUST FOUR HOURS AGO

5.WE START CRYING AND TELLING EVERYONE WE SEE THAT WE LOVE THEM SOOOOO MUCH.

6. WE GET EXTREMELY EXCITED AND JUMP UP AND DOWN EVERY TIME A NEW SONG PLAY'S BECAUSE "OH MY GOD! I LOVE THIS SONG!"

7. WE'VE FOUND A DEEPER/SPIRITUAL SIDE TO THE GEEK SITTING NEXT TO US.

8. WE'VE SUDDENLY TAKEN UP SMOKING AND BECOME REALLY GOOD AT IT.

9. WE YELL AT THE BARTENDER, WHO WE BELIEVE CHEATED US BY GIVING US JUST LEMONADE, BUT THAT'S JUST BECAUSE WE CAN NO LONGER TASTE THE GIN.

10. WE THINK WE ARE IN BED, BUT OUR PILLOW FEELS STRANGELY LIKE THE KITCHEN FLOOR (or the mop?)

11. WE FAIL TO NOTICE THAT THE TOILET LID'S DOWN WHEN WE SIT ON IT.

12. WE TAKE OUR SHOES OFF BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IT'S THEIR FAULT THAT WE'RE HAVING PROBLEMS WALKING STRAIGHT.

SEND THIS ALONG TO ALL THE GIRLS YOU KNOW WHO LIKE TO HAVE FUN. MAKE THEM LAUGH AT THEMSELVES LIKE YOU PROBABLY DID....SADLY, MANY ARE TRUE!!

You've been hit by the

No, don't remember doing anything like that  (tic)
- By Daisy [gb] Date 31.05.06 18:47 UTC
I've never been drunk - maybe a little tiddly :) I don't like abuse of alcohol and find it very demeaning for people to lose control due to drink. My father had an alcohol problem and although I do drink, I've always kept to a sensible level :)

Love the footnote Balibee, contagious isn't it!:-D
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 01.06.06 14:46 UTC
I try to stay in control of myself - have always kept to a couple of glasses of wine when out with colleagues because I have the fear that my tongue will be loosened by alcohol and I might voice thoughts about work colleagues/bosses better kept unsaid :D

That being so, why is it, when I went out with a group of girls/ladies to a hen night, that I suddenly discovered that I was UP on the table, belting out "I will survive" with the best of them???   (I caught sight of myself in a mirror on the wall & thought - "grief - she looks a bit like me - but I'd NEVER do something like that  ).........

Margot (who had a great deal of difficulty in getting OFF the table ...... I must have been teleported onto it :D)

- By Balibee Date 02.06.06 15:58 UTC
More than time to time for me recently! :D

I am now known as the Sambuca babe!
- By Lois_vp [gb] Date 06.06.06 09:09 UTC
..reading some of these posts I'm not surprised we have a binge drinking problem in this country
- By HuskyGal Date 06.06.06 10:20 UTC
Well..no, of course there's no denying the escalation of Binge drinking in our society ( I'm sad to say)

Were someone to have posted about collapsing on a street waking in the gutter..then yes it would be quite irresponsible to make light of such a dangerous situation to put yourself in these days (from a medical and personal security point)

However....... No-one has done that on this thread???
Nor has anyone stated that this is a regular occurance for them!!!
because members are well aware this is public forum with younger members to consider when making light of issues.

And in the light of that..rather than feeling moved to post a sardonic  its a shame, if thats your perception of the posters here, you didnt take the time to redress that, with perhaps a more useful cautionary comment.... or why else take the time to post?..Just to snipe??????????
Youve done alot of that recently :(
- By CherylS Date 06.06.06 11:02 UTC
I don't get it  I don't need alcohol for most of those   I did once try using a 2 feet high shrub for support though :D
- By Charanda [de] Date 06.06.06 11:22 UTC
Very well said HG - for goodness sake can't some people just take things as they are intended, as a little bit of humour??  Does everything have to be turned into a moan and groan about today's society??? :rolleyes::mad::rolleyes:

Go and find a sense of humour for gods sake - there is a time and a place for seriousness and a time and a place for a joke (and this is what this thread was meant to be)!!

**Rant over**

Huskygal
I'm really sorry that you think I've been sniping at people a lot lately - I had no idea that my posts came across in that way.  Please accept my apologies.  I will try to be more careful in future.
- By LJS Date 06.06.06 11:35 UTC Edited 06.06.06 11:40 UTC
Where is Daisy's post

I think this was meant to be a light hearted post and if a more serious discussion is warranted then a new thread would be a good idea ;)

I didn't mention Daisy's post Lucy

But I totally agree with you - this is a light hearted post and a new thread should be started if people want to make it into a serious debate.  (that was my point exactly).

Now - I'm off for a glass of wine and a bit of number 2 on the list!!!  :D
- By LJS Date 06.06.06 11:43 UTC
Sorry I didn't mean you whoops :D

It was Tyby and has since been edited ;)

I think the sun is getting to me :D
- By HuskyGal Date 06.06.06 11:59 UTC
No, the appolgies mine, in part.....

Your free to comment as you see fit Tyby and that should be without the fear or hesitation of wondering if someone's going to come along and give you a public dressing down...:( which is what I did and in the interest of fair play it probably would have been more decent of me to PM you perhaps... But certainly not to resort to 'sniping' myself
I think Charanda and LJS put it better..it was more about keeping things in context, this was a 'fun' thread if you like not to be taken too seriously. And a recent thread about rememberence of a dog now at the bridge which you also negatively comented on, is a similar example of being out of context..a time and  a place for such comments if you like.
Please dont change your participation on account of me being perhaps a bit too rudely judgemental....Just perhaps remember (like I also failed to do) that the recipients of the comments will often want/need..and indeed deserve a certain tone. a change of that tone can often be a change of an altogether different debate..as LJS says a different thread indeed. :)

All too familiar    apart from the truck would have to say Southern Comfort :D :D :D

I don't like abuse of alcohol and find it very demeaning for people to lose control due to drink.

The above is an extract from Daisy's post.
It seems strange that no-one jumped on her for not seeing the humorous side of this thread
- By HuskyGal Date 06.06.06 12:00 UTC Edited 06.06.06 12:07 UTC
totally see your point!
the difference however.. is what I have tried to explain in my post above..
It was your repeated way of posting something sardonic that wrankled me..
(thats just spoiling for a fight in my book..but that of course, is just my opinion)

and! I did say to you in my earlier post..it was a shame you just put a sardonic  instead >of a helpful cautionary tale< which is what Daisy did!!! hers was not a mere jibe!

so we respect that!
