i have been reading from this message board and i am quite intriquied as to how artificial insemination is done on dogs. can anyone tell me i dont mind graphic details as i am not squemish.

Are you the same individual who was asking about why artificial insemination is not more commonly used upon dogs....especially between breeds of varying sizes????? I hope not.
If you're really interested in the hows and whys of AI, just do a search on Google. I'm sure you'll come up with plenty of information-- both squeamish and dry dull facts.
