yesterday we were walking our weim in the normal fields where we walk her and she was running through the long grass (as usual) when she came out she was dripping lots of blood from her paws! we had to take to her vets as an emergency and they had to knock her out to stitch her back up. she had 2 paws all bandaged up now and is feeling very sorry for herself! we dont know what was in the grass as it is fairly long, but guessing glass or barbed wire.

Flint can be a major culprit at times too?

yeah it could be! we don't really have any way of finding out due to the length of the grass.

Ah poor baby maybe you should get him some boots  from www.countrymun.com we used them when my pup had a sore foot that was bandaged we could still take her out and the bandage was  kept clean they do stay on and come halfway up the leg.......

Lately we have had a real problem with glass where i live and twice Tyler has cut his paw, but it's amazing how quickly they heal. His can't have been that deep as the vet didn't put any dressing on them, but he did say they heal really quick and they did.

thats good that they heal well. i thought she was just need a dressing and was really shocked when they said she needed to have stitches bless her!!
