Hey, I was just wondering how long york tests usually take to get the results.
I have just had my dog tested and wanted to know usually how long I have to wait.
I had the bloods taken last tuesday so a week and a bit ago.
If anyone had one done I was wondering how good you found the test results and if it helped your dogs stop itching?
Thankyou in advance
Anna

I had my dog allergy tested a few months ago - the results took approximately 3 weeks - much longer than I was originally told when the blood was taken. However, I don't know whether this will help you but when my dog's results came back she was allergic to amongst others, beef, lamb and chicken.  This limited me so much, for a number of reasons, this being one, I decided to change my dog's diet to raw and we've not looked back. I just wanted her off any processed food. I am currently feeding her all sorts of meats, including beef, lamb and chicken, with absolutely no problems at all. I have a feeling they only test for processed or cooked meats, if that helps.  Her problem wasn't a skin problem though, it was a chronic runny tummy problem.

The dog I rehomed was york tested and removing these allergens from his diet in conjunction with putting him on a raw diet removed his chronic ear problems and itching for good.

Quite often dogs that cannot consume cooked/processed meats can eat them raw as cooking obviously changed the molecular structure and the way it is handled by the body.

Good luck

I did have her on RAW BARF diet. The thing is i would be happy to do it but i am going to uni in september and my parents work as doctors so don't have time to prepare it. Plus they are not as into dogs as i am :D. i would love to give her barf but my parents would not beable to keep it up.

At the moment she is on burns wich is as natural as i can find in a commercial food. I may just get them to feed on natures menu (even if it is really expensive)
thanks for letting me know the time taken for the results. I am a very impatient person :)
Thanks again
