I have been asked by my employer to prepare a short list of breeders of Long Haired German/Belgian Shepherd,s, with a view to buying one for his residential farm. He requires a good quality puppy that will grow in to a large strong dog with a low risk of tempremental problems because of his young family.

These are two different breeds. Has your employer compared their different qualities or is the long coat the deciding factor ?

sorry, but what is a residential farm? Surely if this is to be a family dog, then he should be making his own enquiries. Just my thoughts, no need for everyone to handbag me!

Quite agree, you can't choose other peoples dog for them. Correct me if I am wrong but is this dog to be used as some sort of "Work Tool" as decoration for the "Residential Farm"?

I agree with you both about selecting your own dog, but in fairness to the enquirer she did say she had been asked to make the initial enquiries and make out a list of breeders, not to select the dog for him. I'd also like to know what a residential farm is?

Don't know where the She came from, I could read no reference to the sex of the guest in the guest's post. and I stick by my comment!

It is totally irrelevant what Sex the Guest is !!

They have posted asking for HELP on behalf of their employer. NO WHERE in that posting does it say that they "The Guest" have been sent out to BUY a dog !
