Is it any wonder that open shows often have small entries?   About a month ago I phoned the secretary of Alfreton CS and left a message for a request to send me a schedule for their open show - and heard nothing.  Then the closing date came and went last Friday, so I left another message on Monday to see whether he would accept a late entry and another request for a schedule - and again, didn't bother to phone me back.    I think maybe they could do with a new secretary.

Sorry you missed the closing date Sarah. It's a right pain when that happens, isn't it? If it happens again and you have a schedule for another show, and know which classes you are in, just fill in the 'wrong' entry form,changing the show names on the form, and send it in. Most shows will accept these. Sometimes if you know the printers, and can get in touch early enough, they may have copies for you. Secretaries do have other lives, and sometimes things get lost in the post, but they could have got in touch with you, one way or another. That's why I prefer e-mailing the secretary if there is an e-mail address present. Makes it easier :D

maybe they prefer a sae, as that helps with the massive postage costs.
