Hiya. Stuck in bed at the mo feeling quite fed up. Got hit in the back of my new car last wed having been hit by coach and still got neck pain and pins and needles in arm. Then had to go in hosptal yesterday for an op on my big toe.The foor is agony today so am just getting upto bathroom. Crutches are a killer with the whiplash discomfort. Its abit unerving trying to do anything else with 8 bigdogs charging about. Just wondered if anyone else had ever had either of these things wrong and how long it took to get over. At least I get to spend more time on CD. :(
Took me 12 months for the pain to go after an air stewardess dropped a bag with numerous bottles on my head. Have never got the feeling back in my thumb though since.

Thats reassuring (LOL). Did you put in a claim, my insurance have advised me to
At the time thought nothing of it! Hadn't even left Manchester airport when it happened. Was really sick when I got to my friends in Spain and spent from 6.00 pm to the next morning either being sick of being in bed. Was really annoyed as my friend had arranged a party and everything and I didn't get to see it.
My problems with my severe neck and shoulder pain started the week later and I was only able to sleep sat up for 5 months getting about 3 hours sleep per night, with not much use in my right arm! Had 10 months physio and still need to make an appointment with my GP for an MR scan as things haven't recovered fully but at least now I'm able to get a proper nights sleep with no pain :d
Have to admit I'm not into suing, especially when my brother died we could hve sued a doctor for medical negligence as he said tht there was nothing wrong with him. In those days suing was the last thing people thought of!

To be honest I would not have thought about it if insurance company had not suggested it. I was faultless though, sitting in stationary vehicle when coach came speeding round corner and went into me. Independant witness said he was driving far too fast. Sorry about your brother.

I got whiplash about five years ago and my insurance company automatically put in a claim for compensation I am glad they did as I spent four years having phyiso, i went private as I was told there was a twelve week waiting list to be seen by the NHS. Nothing seem to help until I went to my friends hollistic clinic and had stone therapy massages twice a month after a couple of months I stopped having any problems and now I have full movement in my neck, no more pain and am able to do Thai boxing without any problems.
I find that if I have stiff muscles and I put black pepper oil(you can get it from any health food shop) in the bath it really helps.
Good Luck

Thanks. Will see how things go. Its a competition which hurts most at the moment...the neck or the foot !!!
Put in for it Star, Im not into claiming willy nilly, but in your case its different. Whiplash can take months and months to get over. Go for it girl!
