I know it has been discussed before 'till the cows come home' but I found this mornings experience unbelievable.  I stepped outside my gate with the two puppies for the early morning romp round the picnic field and a big black lab started eyeballing them from the other side of the main road.  Pip, being a big brave TT of 8 months, gave a quick bark then hid behind my legs.  The lab came bounding across the main road to look at us.  Both pups tried desperately to get out of the way and I stood between them and the off lead lab.

The owner came over to get him and I said - could you put him on his lead they are only babies.  She said hes only 5, as if that excuse him dashing across the road away from her and intimidating my babies.

The mind boggles!!!

Why is it if your walking along with your dogs under control, and someone comes along who isn't in control, they either make excuses or can even get darn right aggressive.
The mind does boggle.
Was the owner not even concerned that their dog could have been hit by a car by dashing across the road. Not only losing their pet but also maybe causing a more serious accident.

Exactly what I thought, he could have been killed and who's fault would it have been? mine for having the audacity to walk to lovely puppies on a lead, the dogs for being a 30 year old delinquent or the owner who didn't seem to give a dam.
