We have been provisionally granted a kennel name that i think was our 6th pick, but now its come back we dont actually like it very much! :rolleyes: Is there anyway i can change the one they have without having to pay £70 again? or do i just wait and hope someone objects?! lol :D

Hmm, you really need to ask the KC but I'd guess that you will have to pay the £70 again. The KC will be likely to ask why did you submit a word you didn't want to accept.  Why not wait and see, maybe you'll get used to it.

Is it for an iminent litter, or just to add to your dogs names? I think I would wait a while, not use the affix straight away, and see if I got used to it. Then if I really didn't think I could live with it, I would apply for a new one in a few months time. :)

If you phone the kennel club up they are very good it may cost you about £25.00 or so but make sure you give them ones you do like.

I hated Goldmali when it was accepted and wished I hadn't submitted it -it had been a choice low down on the list and my first choice was Maligold. But it did grow on me and I decided to keep it. :)

I changed my mind from the one I was granted in the original batch of 6, I submitted.  I would tell the KC asap that you'd like to change the one they have given permission to, to another choice.  I wasn't charged anything but then that was 12+ years ago so they may have changed their minds since then.

I did this in Jan of this year- you'll have to pay £25 admin fee :-)

Ok thanks for all your replies. I would wait to see if it growed on me if i was just planning to put it on the dogs names and thats it, but i need to register noman with the IKC and after 12 months you cant add an affix. :rolleyes:

i have been told by a friend that i can add affix to lil's name at anytime  as i intend to do this once i put 5 choices together for ikc affix i have 2 just need 3 more
