Michelle, as long as you are fine with the age gap nothing else matters.  Who cares if it's 2 years, 24 years or 24 years? As long as you like him and he likes you....enjoy the love!!!! ;) :D

I know I have always thought to myself I could never go out with anyone too much older then me, if I became attracked to someone older then you can't help.

"Go with the flow" and have a great weekend!  If it's ment to be it will be!!!!!
- By Brainless [gb] Date 19.05.06 12:05 UTC
You don't know my Dad do you, he and his wife have been together since 1984, and have two kids age 21 and 17
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 19.05.06 15:15 UTC
If that's to me Brainless no, they've never had any children :d
- By Brainless [gb] Date 19.05.06 16:10 UTC
So similar though.

My dad has 8 chldren from 3 marriages, the oldest born in 1958, then 1964 to 1975, and 1985 and 1989, so 31 years between eldest and youngest child.

He has Grandchildren born, 1975, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1991, and I think 1993?, and a great grandson of five years of age.

Michelle, just meet him, see how you get on, take it as fun. After all, it dosnt mean you have to marry the bloke :) Enjoy the company of being with a man again. Dont worry about the age gap, it means little in a friendship, romantic or otherwise, and should it work out, well no one can say our health will be perfect at any given age. Go with the flow girl!
Are you sure its a good idea to  stay with someone you don't actually know? I would perhaps re think that, unless there are others staying, maybe have a room booked. this is not to say hes going to attack you, but if you don't get on, or feel you want your space, it would be good to have somewhere planned to go away to?

You sound really excited, and i hope it goes well for you.
- By michelled [gb] Date 19.05.06 13:51 UTC
i do sort of know him!
if nbot will just go to my friends back abit down the road
- By ice_queen Date 19.05.06 15:36 UTC
I don't think age should matter at all.  If there's a connection then thats how it shall be :) Good luck to you!!!!!
- By Ory [si] Date 19.05.06 11:53 UTC
When my mom got married she was 24 and my dad was 37. They're still together after 27 years ;) ...... I don't think it makes a difference really. It's so difficult to find the right person these days, so age is the last thing you should worry about!
- By helenRR [gb] Date 19.05.06 12:47 UTC
When i met my OH, i was 16 and he was 34. Oh, and my boss:eek: my mum was great from the start but his family weren't thrilled. My friends thought i was nuts, but here we are 6 1/2 years later with 2 children and never been happier.

I do sometimes hesitate before mentioning how old he is but it doesn't bother us in the slightist. It does seem to make people think i am older though. On my birthday last year i was talking to a work collegue who asked how i was, i said 23 (which i am) and he laughed and said 'You wish' ! when my dad came along (he also works here) and told him i was 23 the man was mortified!:D

I've always had an older man thing, in fact my big crush at the mo is older than my mum:eek:

dont worry what other people think, when it comes to the end of the day it's you and him together on the sofa not anyone else. (unless you're into that sort of thing......LOL):cool:
- By Oldilocks [gb] Date 19.05.06 12:48 UTC
Michelle...never mind about 'getting along'....do you fancy him?   :)  :)

Hey this is all better than EastEnders! (That's something coming from ME you know!!) :D :D Now we just need a webcam so we can all WATCH as well!! Seriously Michelle, good luck, I've had a partner 19 years older than me, the age thing was never an issue, just the fact that he was a total plonker was. :)

Oh I love Champdogs, you've all cheered me up, had a rotten day with nothing but sick animals and bad news. Can't WAIT until Monday now for the next installment! Can we have a Champdogs wedding online???

Oh and in my experience what matters more than anything else is to have an interest in common -it can work without it but makes life SO much easier when you do! :D
- By michelled [gb] Date 19.05.06 14:58 UTC
lol glad ive cheered you up hun!

I could do with a show judge :d :d  I'm getting old now you know in my mid 30's!  Will have to start wearing mini skirts and tight tops, on the otherhand, maybe I should just stay single!
- By Sullysmum Date 19.05.06 15:25 UTC

- By bek [gb] Date 19.05.06 17:28 UTC

- By Lissie-Lou [gb] Date 19.05.06 20:55 UTC

- By Blue Date 19.05.06 22:31 UTC
my hubby is 14 years older.
- By judgedredd [gb] Date 20.05.06 14:14 UTC
my daughters partner is 26 years older than her she is 21 and she is so happy with him , they have given me the most wonderfull grandaughter, as long as she is happy, and they look after each other and respect each other i do not have a problem with it, she was worried about what people would think, i told her if other people have a problem with it tuff, it is her life and she is in charge of it.
so good luck to you and take whatever hapiness is thrown your way as you never know what is just around the corner.
