THis morning murphy had what seemed like a funny turn where he was whining and stretching as if his tummy was uncomfortable shortly after his breakfast. We just assumed it was gastro intestinal as meg was also being sick. However this afternoon murphy was asleep on the sofa with his head on me and when he got up there was a wet patch as if he had wet himself. (He is totally housetrained, and had only gone about 30 minutes before) he then went outside and did an enormous wee. I noticed this morning that his urine smelt quite strong, so i think he either has an infection or cystitis. Now i don't think it really warrants an emergency appointment, and i can't get hold of my friend who is a vet, so i am unsure how to relieve his discomfort. Usually i have some spare synulox that i would use, but i don't have any at the moment. Does anyone have any ideas how i can help him?
This is probably no help whatsoever (I am not a 'doggy' expert), but what about trying to get Murphy to drink Cranberry juice tomorrow. It works with humans when they have cystitis...... Might provide some relief until Myrphy can see the vet.
