Hi everyone, is it Ok to give dogs glucosamine & omega 3 tablets (375mg glucosamine sulphate, 90mg EPA, 60mg DHA) to my beardie x's? - if so, how often would you give them a tablet?  They are 2 years old and 1 year old.  I've been told it will help keep their joints supple and make their coats shine - do you agree?  They eat complete kibbles with a little added cooked meat.

Sorry, my original question doesn't sound right - the tablets are from the health shop, for humans, is it OK to give them to dogs?

I do not currently give my dogs a glucosamine supplement but they do  get Fish Body Oil (the best source for the most bio available Omega 3s) every day, I use the extra strength version by Healthspan which has a high DHA/EPA content.  Look up on the net.

In addition they get 400 iu Vitamin E (natuiral not synthetic) daily as the former depletes the body of the latter.

If I gave a glucosamine supplement I would use one that was combined with marine chondroitin and give one every day.
