Hi everyone,  Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but i wasn't sure which one to put it in :D
Any advice would be much appreciated :)
We've lost our trusty slicker and it's the only one our dog would really put up with   We had it given to us and there was no makers name on it, it was just a white plastic thing with soft bristles.
Could you recommend any soft bristles makes that maybe you use please?  I've looked on the net for one like it but there seems to be loads that are identical, so hope you don't mind me picking your brains.

That wasn't a slicker - slickers are the ones with tiny bent metal pins, very good brushes.  You had a bristle brush (oddly enough!!).  I found one with nice soft bristles in a pet shop a couple of weeks ago for my cat - it's made by Mikki, you might be able to find one online.  Failing that try Pets at Home - they do a nice selection of grooming stuff, I use a lot of Mikki things in my dog grooming.  Good stuff.

The only problem with shopping on the net is that you can't pick up the item/brush your arm with it/see how big it is in comparison to something.

I would recommend going down a local pet shop and having a good look. My bristle brush has lasted for years. We bought it in preparation for our first puppy. It was a double-headed one though. He chewed on it, played with it and put up with being groomed be it but one day it disappeared. A few years later when we were moving house I found it in the garden - as manky as anything - and I hate to dash all your hopes, I have never found one as good as that since!

To get the job done quickly and easily I use The Universal Slicker Deluxe at the bottom. :D

Yes, the bottom one is the one I use, though can't remember where I got it from. Probably at a show :P

To look at JJ you'd think he was a big brave dog but he's a total wuss where grooming is concerned.  He always has been since he was a pup, even his breeder said he was a big baby :D
I like the look of the universal one so i'll probably go for that one.

It's not soft but it does the job very well.  I prefer to get the grooming done in 15 minutes rather than nag for an hour! :D
