Hi German Shepherds ears can start moving about from six weeks onwards don,t worry if its later than that they tend to keep moving up and down as the pup is teething and as their head and jaw are developing.
One of my pups had both ears up dead straight at seven weeks old and her litter sister was five months old before one of her ears even moved then it just came up overnight.
Don,t worry either if the ears come up and go down again as this also can be due to teething or even the little dog may be feeling a little off colour its hard work growing up and you need to give the puppies plenty of time to rest the ears will come right when the muscles int hem are strong enough very heavy you know these ears for a little one to lug around all day.
How olds uyour pup?
hope I,ve helped a little take care and good luck
Hi ya, my pup is only 8wks. she's not a full GS, just 3/4's. just wondered cause she does look like a full shepherd and her ears are up and down all the time!!

They can with teething too. My girl, who is a full german shepherd, had ears that constantly went from up to down until they eventually settled upright, so you might have a while to wait yet and more changes to see before they settle!

Sometimes they never do! My neighbours have a pedigree German Shepherd whose ears both flop over to her right hand side. At 4 years old it's unlikely that they'll do the right thing!

My first gsd pup Freddie his poor little ears didnt pop up at all until about 6mths old, on the other hand my 2nd one Lexy, got her at 8wks, had one up one down, breeder said give it a while and they will both be up...next day PING...both up ever since..quite comical really seeing a little 8wk old running around with ears fully erected :-)
Hi again depending on what your dogs crossed with the ears may only be semi erect may tip over at the tops or even stay flat.
I,m sure whatever happens your dog will be a cutie and you,ll love him anyway.

I have 2 Malinois cross Golden and I call their ears airplane ears LOL -with one parent having erect ears and one floppy, they really are a bit in between the two. :D
