I know some of you are footie lovers and some not so! When I leave work at 5pm I'm on my way to Manchester to stay the evening before travelling to Cardiff to support the Hammers! Come on You Irons!!!! Watch out for me as one of the 90,000!

I'm very envious! How ever did you manage to get tickets for that? I was there in 1980 when they won too! Up the 'Ammers!!!!

I was born within a mile of Upton Park - so I can claim to be a Hammeronian :D I even passed Upton Park on my way to the church on my wedding day :D (Although, I have to admit that I've never been to a football match tho' :D )
Daisy

I gave my ticket for the final away I've not been to a football match since Hillsborough & my cousin who I used to go to all the matches with is using it to take his carer(he's seriously disabled) I can't even watch my team play on TV :( even after all this time the memories are still with me
However good luck to the Reds after beating the Superstore & the KGB FC bring on the 'Ammers
I was born within yards of Anfield

Spare a thought tomorrow, for our little (7 y/o) grand-daughter Maddie. She supports the 'Ammers - and is the only West Ham Fan on the Isle of Man! (or so she solemnly informs us

). She says its bad enough that Daddy Jon supports the Gunners - but she says she will wear her West Ham kit tomorrow for her footie tournament when everyone else involved is going to be wearing Liverpool kit!
That's my gal!

Sorry to hear of your experiences MM. Although a Bristolian I have always loved Liverpool FC (80's kid :D) The most extreme emotions I have ever felt watching football have been whilst watching the reds. Alaves in 2001, Istanbul last year and yesterday!!! Absolutely adore Stevie G. But if I was gonna marry one then I'll take Xabi Alonso....Scrumptious :D :D Oh and an incredible passer of the ball

Brother that works closely works in football in Manchester, sometimes it's not what you know it's who I realise. We've not long been back from a fantastic weekend away! ........Despite the score! Cracking game though!
