- By ChristineW Date 11.05.06 12:13 UTC
I'm sure there will be somebody who knows?   Could you tell me what it is and it's pronounciation please?    Information is required for someone with a Swedish export!

Thanks.

Christine

Oooooh can you help me with the Spanish for.....

Stand!
Teeth?
Come!
Down!

And last but probably by no means least (we're talking malamute here!).....

BE QUIET!!! :-D :-D

My little babe is joining us very soon and guess who doesn't speak Spanish?!!!

Mucho gracias!
- By ShaynLola Date 11.05.06 13:40 UTC
Quiet! - Silencio!
Teeth! - Dientes!
Come! - Vienes!
Down! - Bajas! or Acostarte! (lie down)
Stand! - Now, I'm finding this one tricky as there are lods of ways to translate 'stand'. I would use 'estate quieto' as it means 'stand still' but I don't know that this is the command a spanish person would use in the same context.

PS. It's muchas gracias

:)

Arriba (for stand)

Buscar for fetch.

Dammy for leave or give !  Or damn you give it me, works equally as well if not better.

Ce-enta-te (all one word but in those sort of syllabals oh and I can't even spell correctly in English :d) for sit.

Benagi (really Bien Aqui, come here, but that's how it's spoken) for come or come here you little piece of earth (S**) works just as well!

These are all in the way that I say it not the way it's spelt in Spain :d

I wdn't. like to shout the word stop in Swedish then!!
- By Goldmali Date 11.05.06 14:24 UTC
I assume you mean it as in the command for DOGS? That is APPORT.
- By ChristineW Date 11.05.06 14:25 UTC
Ha ha.....I knew you'd come to this eventually Marianne!  ;)

How do you pronounce that?
- By Goldmali Date 11.05.06 14:29 UTC
I'm terrible at writing down how you say things as I don't really know how, but I'll try! It would be something like 'up-ort' with the emphasis on the first syllable.

There a Spanish course advertised in the Daily Mail tomorrow...just seen the headlines on the news, so you'll have to have a peek and see if it's worth buying the paper! LOL
