Hello,

2 questions from me today and I have another 2 to ask after I get lunch!

Anyway, I want to transfer 100 Danish krone to a Danish bank account, is there any easy & cheap way of doing so?

Thanks again!

Christine

I'd ask your bank how much they charge - sometimes there are small charges for small amounts. At work we typically pay about EUR17 (euros) to transfer euros, but it varies from bank to bank :)

I phoned my bank once as I wanted to transfer money from my bank to a bank in China (ebay purchase) and they were gonna charge me £35 just for transferring it

Paypal is a cheaper alternative. :-)

I've transferred money overseas previously through my bank - and been charged £20 each transaction.

read your other mail.

are you getting a dog from aboard.and is these post to do with the same thing.beacuse i will not pay any money over untill i got the dog in my hands.plus i am going down this rule again but this time the dog got to have all his test in his country .before he comes to the uk.

if he fail i wouldnt bring him over.and waste another £500 or more shipping over.not to be able to show or use him at stud to my girls.

No briedog, 100 Danish krone only amounts to just under £10, it is for some stickers from the Danish LM club but I have to put the money into the club's bank accounts and they will post them to me!

No way am I spending £30 charges on something a fraction of that!

ok. you can buy your stickers.i allow you on that one.

only joking

briedog 100 Danish Kroner only equals just under £10.

Can you not just get the money in currency and post it recorded. ?

Does it have to be a transfer? You can get cheques drawn in foreign currency. For comparison, last time I did this it was £8 to draw the cheque but around £30 to do the transfer.

If I can get away with it I think I will just buy 100 Kroner and put it in an envelope, I think Europe has a registered post system too.  So before I go order some if anyone has any Kroner kicking about - let me know!

You can send it by the 'International Signed For' service. I often use it to send parcels to a friend who lives in Turkey and she has always received them despite Turkey's notoriously dodgy postal system :D  I also use it to post my membership of the Ireland Newfie club. I just stick the Euros in an envelope to save any faffing about :)

We do bank foreigh transfers all the time at work thro NatWest, regardless of the amount you want to t/fer they charge £18.
You can use Moneygram thro the Post Office, they'll charge about £14, or thro Western Union but I think they charge about £15 for a t/fer of up to £100.

If you do it with Paypal linked to a current account (not a credit card one)  It's free:cool:
