Woofa is now five months old and recently lost quite a few baby teeth. He's a great pup who has learnt everything a lot quicker than I could have hoped. He is half springer / half lab, whenever we walk he has always 'hoovered' eating sticks twigs etc. My vet told me this was the lab in him and to just watch he didn't pick up anything that was bad for him. The last 2 days it has been awful with him picking up loads and chewing. Being a bit of a newbie it's taken me till now to realise he is actually teething. In the last week or so he has destroyed lots of his 'softer' toys, now today he has chewed his frisbee to bits. Now I know i'm very lucky cos up to now he has not chewed a single thing of ours (fingers crossed it stays that way!), but I just don't know what to buy / give him to teeth on to make it better for him. Here is the problem... He won't touch anything made of rubber!! so kong's, rigid bones, rubber teethers all lay untouched, in fact he runs away from them! Does anyone else know what I could use please? At the moment I'm buying him small marrow 'roastie' bones from the pet shop for want of a better alternative.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received, thanks
